Giampietro Peghetti has been in computer sciences since the 90s.

With the growing of internet, communication needs have brought him to create his first website (now PraticaMente.it), thus widening his use of computer which had till then been mainly for personal management such as writing, music and picture managing and editing. The fact that at the end of the second millennium not many people were able to make websites generated the opportunity for him to start a professional activity, soon marked by the creation of a nationally relevant website (Italian Office for Catholic Teaching in Schools).

He has experience in e-learning at the University of Bologna (Citam 2001-2003) and on behalf of the National Centre for Università Ovunque (Consorzio Nettuno 2002-2005). He was system administrator at the University of Bologna (Citam 2002-2003), took part in the realization of interactive online managing systems (Opere – Consorzio Spinner 2002-2003) and developed computer technologies at an international level (The Logos Project 2002-2004). Since January 21st 2000 he is the operations manager for the Church of Bologna computer systems.

Now he is no longer in the technical assistance field: even though he still teaches courses (Accademia dei Ricreatori 2007), he now concentrates his activity more in the realization and maintenance of institutional websites (Church of Bologna; Lercaro Foundation; Convento Patriarcale San Domenico); educational (Faculty of Theological in Emilia-Romagna; Veritatis Splendor Institute; Studio Filosofico Domenicano; Catholic University Centre San Sigismondo; Italian Federation of the Bologna Kindergarten Schools), information (È-TV – 12Porte, Avvenire – Bologna7), political (Governare Bologna; Movimento per il Partito Popolare Europeo), project work offices (SGS Studi & Ricerche) builders (Costruzioni Edili Ferruccio Maestrami; Edil Loiano), professional offices (Studio Campanini), medical nursing associations (Associazione Infermieristica per lo Studio delle Lesioni Cutanee; Pubblica Assistenza Croce Italia), trading and service companies (Valigeria Serra; Sacchetti e Calzoni; Service Clima), residential (Albergo 3 Scalini, Residence Boschetto), personal (Silvia Stanzani, mosaics maker; Stefano Andrini, journalist; Giancarlo Soli, photographer; Mimmo Rosselli, barman), and also handling websites with a high number of visitors (Giustizia per Samuele).

To website programming (html , php, mysql, css, swf, flv, ajax, cms) and the connected services (photograpic services with digital reflex camera), Giampietro Peghetti adds competencies and tools (shooting systems and editing in HD) for the realization of multimedia supports for web live congresses (I giovani nella rete 2001), installations in shops or showroom (Valigeria Serra; Costruzioni Edili Ferruccio Maestrami), presentations (Convegni nazionali Anusca 2003-2004; FISM Bologna 2007) and dvd (Lasciar traccia di sé, Du.Press 2005; In viaggio con il corpo, Du.Press 2007).
